2007 Washington State Masters and Juniors Road Race Championships

 

Date:   Sunday July 8th             Location:   Longbranch, WA

 

Course Description: 10.5 mile loop starting at the Longbranch Improvement Center, with new hill top finish for all races.  Course is rolling with one steep ½ mile climb and two gradual ¼ mile climbs for a total of approx 450’ of climbing per lap.  Junior gear restrictions will be enforced.

 

Cost:   $10 Juniors, $25 everybody else, day of registration only.  USCF License required to race.  One day license for category 5 men and 4 women is available at the race.  To race in the combined category 1/2/3 race you must have a USCF annual license ($60) which may be purchased at www.usacycling.org (not available for sale at the race).

Registration:  Registration/parking will be located at the Start.  Registration opens at 7:30AM and closes 15 minutes prior to your race.

 

Race Numbers:   WSBA numbers are required!  Number may be purchased in advance at www.wsbaracing.com .  Rental numbers will be available at the race for a $10 rental fee (of which $5 is refundable).  For out-of-state riders there is no fee to rent a number just a $5 deposit.

8:45 AM           Junior D men/women                       (age 10-12)                 1 ½ laps (16.5 miles)

* Masters Women A (35+ cat 1-3) and B (35+ cat 4) race together but scored separately

11:00 AM         Masters Men C   (age 35+ cat 4-5, or 45+ cat 3)      4 ½ laps (48 miles)

11:05 AM         Masters Men D   (age 50+ all cats)                                       4 ½ laps (48 miles)

11:10 AM         Junior A men/women                        (age 17-18)                 4 ½ laps (48 miles)

**  Category 1/2/3 Men race only open to those not eligible to race in the Masters Divisions (i.e. must be under age 35).  Prize $$ (in this race only) will be 1/3 the total entry to 5 deep.  Bring your climbing legs to vie for separate KOM $ prime.

 

Directions:   Take I-5 to Tacoma and Highway 16 exit toward Bremerton.  Follow Highway 16 for approximately 13 miles until the Purdy/Hwy 302 exit.  Turn left at the stop signal on Hwy 302, continue south towards Home for approximately 18 miles.  Hwy 302 will veer right…continue straight as the road changes to Key Peninsula Hwy.  Look for bike race signs about 5 miles after the small town of Home.  Registration and parking will be on the right.

All USCF rules apply.   Waivers & helmets are required.  Promoter reserves the right to cancel or combine races.   Race is to be held under USA Cycling event permit (pending).
